New Year's Eve this time around is an especially juicy night!

This is the perfect time to welcome the New Year with your clear intentions amplified by the group energy of the community tribe! Celebrate, connect, dance, meditate – just BE in the truth of who you are!

Playing with Intention

• Bring or wear something that represents what you're intending for the new year. Dress up or down, whatever makes you feel great!

• We'll have an "intention tree" for you to write anything you accomplished in 2009 or are letting go of to be "composted" in the soil then you can write your intentions of what you want to "flower" in 2010 and tie them to the branches. The tree will receive Deeksha blessings until Spring.

And some fun movement facilitation by Shannon Simonelli and Dan Schmidt to open the body to new possibilities.

• Potluck
Bring a food or drink that represents what you want to "feast" on in 2010. Make it intentional!

We'll also have a community punch bowl that will change throughout the night as people add different beverages (no alcohol please).

• Leading up to midnight we'll transition to quiet, inner awareness with music from international keyboard artist, Josiah Barlow followed by

an abundance meditation with Suzanne Mark, some chanting/toning and Deeksha blessings offered from several people.

Then, call in the New Year in your own way with unstructured meditation time and the pure vibrations of crystal toning bowls played at midnight, followed by a closing circle that may be the largest one of it's kind in Salt Lake.

Why is this such a powerful night?

Well, astrologically speaking, we have to remember that eclipses bring change...always.

So, the Full Moon eclipse on Dec. 31st falls at 10 degrees Cancer. The Sabian Symbol for 10 Cancer is: A large and beautiful diamond, in the hand of the lapidary, is now to be cut to its full perfection.

That in itself lets you begin to understand where this eclipse is going to take us. Of course where in a persons natal chart the eclipse falls will better tell what areas of life will be effected and how.

In astrology Cancer naturally rules the 4th house of home/foundation. So, no matter where Cancer falls in a person's chart, their foundation will also be effected. Suffice it to say that all of humanities foundation will be shifted at this time. We've all been watching it happen on some level...watching humanity shift into consciousness...but after this eclipse it will really begin to speed up.

All of the planets are facilitating this awakening within us. The 2012 information reminds us that the planet is moving rapidly towards the galactic center...where scientists and spiritualists alike believe 'we' originated from. On a purely scientific level, as our solar systems moves through its cycle, the further away from the galactic center it gets the further away we are from our 'center', the harder it is to stay connected to it, and the further into 'darkness' (fear) we (as humanity) go. We've already reached the furthest point and we are now moving back towards the center. That is why humanity is waking up all together.

So, now that we understand 'why' we are waking up...the other planets will assist us in our journey by lining up one by one and helping us to release the old patterns of fear.

The eclipses this summer, in July and August, opened the door to see into the darkness. Not the darkness that we know as 'bad' or 'fear', but the darkness where everything exists. When looking for answers, we forget to look into the dark because our idea of darkness suggests that the only thing that lives there is 'bad' or 'wrong'. We're taught (even as spiritualists) to move into the light in order to find the answers. What we're going to find is that if we limit ourselves to only looking in the light, we're going to just as limited as when we were in the 'dark'. The door is now open for us to expand past our ideas of light and dark...into Oneness.

Eclipses trigger events that reveal everything we don't want to see. And that being said, Saturn is at a critical space bouncing energy off of Pluto, Uranus and Neptune. Saturn represents tradition...the old way. It can be a great teacher...but certainly not by holding onto the old. Pluto is known to step in and destroy anything that no longer is of service to us. Uranus is the unconventional and new. Neptune is unable to divide or separate. Neptune can unify, it can dissolve, and it can freeze and unfreeze...so when it comes to boundaries and old/new, forget about it. The separation that we live in...duality...will begin to fade with the help of Neptune. As far as Neptune is concerned, unity and love are all there is and its ultimate purpose and function have to do with reminding us that our choice of believing in separation is what keeps us from our greatest love...as well as our greatest expansion.

Pluto steps in and will destroy anything that stands in the way of your unfoldment.
Uranus actually rules over portions of the brain that we don't have access to. We will now begin to discover that the limitations we have placed on what it means to be human have very little to do with who we really are.

All of these planets help us to move into our foundation (Cancer) and recognize and release the fear-based programs that we are still running...even if we're not aware that we are running them.

This eclipse will show us that matters of Spirit are well within our reach and do not necessitate the presence of an intermediary. We are all 'God', and our purpose for living involves developing a relationship to that aspect of our being so that we can actualize that principle and embody it fully here in the physical realm.

On a world-wide basis...this is just one more trigger or step towards change on a global scale. Structure and form are only useful when the belief patterns that uphold them support the continuation of life. We all know that isn't happening any more. Watch for change in the 'systems' that are old, out-dated, and no longer assist us in living. Of course there will be resistance to change, but those who are overly invested in either the beliefs that uphold the old structures or the structures themselves will have to find meaning elsewhere. As worn-out structures, institutions, and belief patterns dissolve, the keepers of the old paradigm will try to defend them with all their might. At the same time, we will see evidence of new leadership and new alternatives gathering strength, and their interests will clash with those of the old order.

On a totally different note...scientist have now found a direct link between our Earth and the human heart. : ) We are directly connected...we are one in the same. As our Earth begins to shift in it's own consciousness that information is transmitted to our hearts, which in turn transmits it to our brain, which in turn transmits it to the rest of our body. It is no surprise that many of us are now 'feeling' the Earth's consciousness and vibration raising. We are one and the same. There is no separation...and science (wahoo) is now able to prove that. We are all changing together.

Oh yeah...of course eclipses come in pairs...so the next one is the New Moon eclipse on Jan 15th. That sits at 25 degrees Capricorn. Capricorn in itself is known for it's ability to start new projects. Caps don't usually finish those projects...but they are known for starting them. We can look for new beginnings (New Moon as well as Capricorn) come that time.

So...if the Full Moon brings culmination, and the time when we are at our most fertile, and the New Moon brings new beginnings...these two eclipses will be quite interesting indeed.
